Insureio began as a spin-off of our internal customer management and insurance quoting tool. In the latter half of 2012 we began developing a proper CRM with plans to integrate multi-carrier quoting tools, comprehensive lead capture and marketing capabilities, and a robust suite of management systems for both agents and agencies.

My initial roles were to provide graphics support to the lead designer and developers, build a library of transactional and marketing email templates, and produce video content including tutorials, walk-throughs, and promotions.

Soon I would assume the role of lead front-end designer and in collaboration with our lead developer be responsible for the maintenance for all our web properties including the planning, design, and development of new features.

We integrated with various insurance carriers to deploy first-of-kind life insurance quoting processes and back-end policy management tools.

Near the end of 2023, I began leading the full end-to-end redesign of the Insureio CRM as our development team was updating our back-end framework from an AngularJS codebase to Angular 17. We recently deployed the latest version of the Insureio app for beta testing.

My initial role at Pinney Insurance was to create engaging video content to help drive our SEO efforts and round out our marketing team. This would be my official title moving forward, though my responsibilities would morph into that of a front-end designer.

My time is typically split between Insureio and Pinney Insurance were I build and manage our web properties (wordpress and static landing pages), produce occasional video, lead our email marketing efforts, design graphics, and perform various photography needs.

Our email marketing efforts include a weekly newsletter to a list of about 60k recipients employing Litmus tools for design and QA and Sendgrid for email delivery.

In my spare time I enjoy sports, specifically baseball. I play in a recreational softball league and on a competitive tournament team. I also enjoy golfing and Olympic recurve archery.

I’ve recently passed my FAA written test and begun flight training. I hope to pass my checkride soon and become a private pilot.

I manage a shared web server and a few websites for various local archery organizations as side projects including the State Archers of California, El Dorado Hills Bowmen, and a recent new eCommerce build for Wilderness Archery, a retail shop in Northern California. I’m an AWWA certified Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester and also help run a small weekend backflow testing business with my dad.
